2021 바이오제약 취업 정보 교류 (한국 + 일본)

 

 

옛날에도 그렇고 지금도 그러는데, 링크드인에 적힌 내 이력서를 보고 여기저기서 연락은 온다. 하지만 대부분 그 의미가 별로 없는 포지션을 제안하는데, 이번에는 미국에서 연락이 왔었다. 

 

BioProcess Engineer: Gaithersburg MD

Greetings! I am working with a Biotech firm in Gaithersburg, MD with 2500 employees in 28 countries. Areas of expertise include immunology, stem cell biology, neuroscience, and cancer, and clinical research areas like hematology, graft engineering, and apheresis. 미국의 Gaithersburg MD라면 AstraZeneca가 있는 곳이라 알고 있는데 혹시 거기인가?라고 생각하면서 답을 보냈다. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"연락 고맙다. 나는 일본 ㅇㅇ제약회사에서 연구원으로 일하고 있다. 이 포지션 혹시 비자 서포트도 해주는 거냐?"라고 답을 보냈는데, 역시 결과는 아래와 같았다. 

 

Hi there. I did not realize that you were in Japan. I should have looked more closesly. I am sorry. Unfortunately, for this opportunity visa support is not an option presently. However, if that changes I will definitely reach back. Thank you.

 

역시 예상대로 지금 내 위치에서 미국에 있는 빅파마, 바이오테크로 이직을 하기 위해서는 신분문제가 제일 큰 벽이라고 느껴진다. 아이티 계열의 회사들은 해주는 경우도 있다고 하는데 그런 포지션은 바이오 제약회사에서는 찾기가 어려운 케이스인가? ㅋㅋㅋ

 

몇 년 전에도 미국에 있는 헤드헌터가 내 링크드인 프로필을 보고 연락을 해온 적이 있는데, 그때도 비자 서포트는 어렵다고 했다. 

 

미국 영주권을 받고 있는 상태에서는 그러면 될까? 

이런 일이 몇 번 있었지만, 확실한 것은 몇 개가 있다. 

1. 내 경력은 미국에 있는 포지션을 제안하기에 문제가 없다. 

2. 내가 적어 놓은 링크드인 (영어 이력서, 프로필)은 미국에 있는 포지션에 제안하기에도 문제가 없다. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

얼마전 독일에 있는 유명한 바이오테크에서도 연락이 왔었다.

빅파마는 아니지만 유명한 바이오테크이기 때문에 이직을 고려할만한 포지션이었다. 아직은 진행 중...

여기서도 알 수 있는 것이 확실한 것이 있다. 

1. 내 경력은 독일 바이오테크에 최소한 지원할 자격은 되는 것 같다. 아직 모름...ㅋㅋㅋ

2. 내가 적어 놓은 링크드인 (영어 이력서, 프로필)은 독일에 있는 포지션에 지원하고, 받아들여지기까지 한다? ㅋㅋㅋ

3. 영어를 주로 사용하는 독일에 있는 회사라면 최종 합격은 아직 모르지만, 서류 통과 가능성은 있다? 

 

 

지금 다니는 일본 회사는 아마도 내년 정도에는 버리고 이직을 할 것 같다. 

1. 유럽에 있는 제약회사로 이직하기

2. 미국에 있는 제약회사로 이직하기

3. 일본 내에 있는 제약회사로 이직하기

4. 일본 내에 있는 외국계 제약회사로 이직하기

위의 4가지 정도를 우선순위로 생각하고 있다. 

이제 박사 후 X 년 경력이 되었기 때문에 한번 더 도전이 필요한 시기가 되었기 때문이다. 

원래 부자가 아닌 사람은 사는 게 피곤하다. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 

그냥 한 회사나 같은 직무에 있어서 전문성을 올리는 것도 방법이겠지만, 나에게는 맞지 않고, 나는 지금 내 연봉을 한번 더 올리고 싶기 때문이다. 

 

그리고 15년 후 하고 싶은 계획하고 있는 일이 있기 때문에 지금 대기업을 다니고 있을 때 연구직만 하는 것보다는 비즈니스 관련 직무에서 경력을 쌓고, 나중에 그 경험을 사용하고 싶기 때문이다. 

그렇다. 15년짜리 계획이다. ㅋㅋㅋ
